Richmond REACT/CERT invites all CERT graduates to its monthly continuing education meetings, held every second Wednesday of the month.
Each meeting offers additional training and instruction so CERT graduates can stay current in their skills and connect with other CERT graduates throughout the city.
Though specifically designed for those who have completed full CERT emergency-response training, these classes can be helpful for non-graduates interested in crisis-management instruction.
At November’s monthly meeting, instructor Leslie Stavig will offer Stop the Bleed training. By learning Stop the Bleed, you’ll gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control bleeding once you learn three quick techniques.
This training immediately follows the monthly Citizens Advisory Panel on Emergency Preparedness (CAPER) meeting. Non-CAPER members are invited to watch CAPER meetings, however participation during the meeting is limited to those named to panel.
