Richmond's citywide CERT team invites all CERT graduates to its monthly continuing education meetings, held every second Wednesday of the month.
Each meeting offers additional training and instruction so CERT graduates can stay current in their skills and connect with other CERT graduates throughout the city.
Though specifically designed for those who have completed full CERT emergency-response training, these classes can be helpful for non-graduates interested in crisis-management instruction.
November's meeting features REACT board member Jim Mallory, a FEMA veteran and CERT and Red Cross instructor, and Patty Szerlip, team leader for North & East neighborhood CERT, who will discuss emergency first-aid and blood-pressure management in injury care.
Light refreshments are offered beginning at 6:30 p.m. and instruction begins at 7 p.m.
