Richmond's citywide CERT team invites all CERT graduates to its monthly continuing education meetings, held every second Wednesday of the month.
Each meeting offers additional training and instruction so CERT graduates can stay current in their skills and connect with other CERT graduates throughout the city.
Though specifically designed for those who have completed full CERT emergency-response training, these classes can be helpful for non-graduates interested in crisis-management instruction.
March's monthly meeting focuses on changes and updates to rules regarding Family Radio Service (FRS) and General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS). There may also be a presentation from representatives of the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office Auxiliary Communications Service.
Light refreshments are offered beginning at 6:30 p.m. and instruction begins at 7 p.m.
